LAURA JONES – MD, FAAP
Dr. Jones is a fourth generation Alaskan. She graduated from East High School before moving to Illinois to pursue her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College. She went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of Washington Medical School, in Seattle, and complete her pediatric residency at the University of Wisconsin, in Madison. After all her schooling, Dr. Jones moved back to Alaska to work as a pediatrician. She chose to work at LaTouche Pediatrics because she enjoyed the environment of the office.
Dr. Jones has a particular interest in breast-feeding and early childhood development. She also enjoys caring for children with chronic conditions including asthma, diabetes, and cerebral palsy.
When she isn’t busy at work, Dr. Jones is busy at home–cooking for her vegetarian teenager, dredging up the remnants of her algebra knowledge to help with homework, and walking her small dogs. In her downtime, she enjoys reading mystery novels.
